Jesus Christ is an anglocanization of the Greek Phrase Jesus Cristos, which means "our savior." It's a title people. His real name was Joshua son of Joseph.

Why "ibn" "ben" would make more sense to me. But I only know Jewish traditions, not Greek ones.
ben is an anglocanization. From the time period, it was more likely to be ibn or ib.

"ibn" is Arabic. "ben" is the Hebrew term. However, common language at the time was Aramaic :)

Sorry, I don't... Probably "ben", as aramaic quotes in the New Testament are almost identical to the Hebrew.
arameic was either ibn or ib (pronounced "eeb"). I can't say with perfect certainty because it would depend exactly where his arameic was from. Arameic was essentially a pidgen of Greek, Hebrew, and Arabic.
I don't think it was (or is) a pidgen at all, but rather a small language of a particular tribe which became a big language by Darius' edict. Since it was fairly neutral it wound up being the international language of both the Persian and Greek empires in the region.
